Remote Work Is Great, But Tech Teams Still Need A Place To Call Home

The Covid-19 pandemic has made remote work more than a trendy experiment — it’s become a necessity to keep employees safe. But as the economy reopens and teams head back to normalcy, how much of this remote culture should stick for tech companies? Should it be our new normal?

According to a study by Gallup, 70% of workers were operating remotely in April — at least part of the time. As phased reopenings began, that figure slightly dropped to 68%. These stats suggest that leaders see the benefits of a flexible workforce. They’ve seen their teams embrace new technologies and collaborate via videoconference.
